Welcome to ArtsFest: A new way for public broadcasting to share its wealth of local arts content with the world.
ArtsFest is an experiment in new media distribution. We have gathered the best audio and video from world class performers of varying disciplines, and have created events that you can enjoy from the comfort of your home. Much of this material you may never have had the chance to see or hear, unless you were at the original performance, or listening to it on the radio.
So, in short, we're inviting you on a journey.
There are some caveats:
In order to participate you need:
- 1. A 28.8kbps (or faster) connection to the internet.
- 2. Either Netscape 3.0 or Internet Explorer 3.0 (or higher)
- 3. A current copy of Progressive Networks' RealPlayer
If you don't have either Netscape or Internet Explorer, or you don't have the "RealPlayer" they may be obtained for free by clicking on the above.
NOTE: To listen to audio, your computer must be equipped with a sound card.
Sometimes Internet traffic might cause some of the visual events to be
omitted. If this happens simply pause the RealPlayer, wait a
moment and hit play again.
